jbjints 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 My my G27 was delivered today but I have not yet had a chance to mess around with it but I did read some posts that highly recommend mounting the G27 pedals. I do not have a racing chair so i do not have anywhere to mount anything to other than my desk. Am I going to have a problem with the wheel and pedals if they are not permanently mounted? I couold mount the pedals to my wood floor but the better half may throw a fit. Do I have no choice but to mount the pedals in some way?
Avenga76 835 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 It does have a little carpet grabber on the bottom that you can flip out. I used it like that for a while and it grips okay. If you are on a hard wood floor then you might be buggered. Have a look at the DIY rig section of the forum, there are some cool pedal stands and rigs made out of wood in there then you can just have it pressing up against a wall. I put my sub woofer in between my pedals and the wall so they couldn't slide forwards.
jbjints 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 The sub woofer may work for me too. Thank you very much.
Krassi 692 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Congrats for the new wheel:))) If you make it like mounted with some connection to the subwoofer - you will have small butkicker there and will feel vibrations from the road:) It really works;)
Avenga76 835 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 That is a pretty neat idea for a cheap buttkicker

Damn that sounds awesome. Thank you. Joe
Krassi 692 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Yes if you tight it good you will feel like force feedback on the pedals;) I mean like vibration;)

jbjints 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 It is like a low tech version of the transducer I have on my pedals. Wow that looks like a sick setup Avenga. Would you mind sharing your entire set up? I am really looking forward to practicing later on today to get a feel for the G27. Will I have any problems by leaving my wheel right on my desk? The shifter I will tie down to my desk. I should really make a thread for my rig. It has 8 transducers placed all over the show and way too much hardware to list Here are some shots of the whole rig. Speaking of G27s I played a bit of Colin Mcrae Rally 2.0 on my laptop a few months ago and I just had it clamped to the desk.
jbjints 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Avenga, I am in awe. That is some rig. I am not sure if my wife could handle me putting a rig together like that.
Krassi 692 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Every wife will approve rig like this, just some wifes will need to buy tons of clothes and shoes to make things equal! LoL
