So the F40 is in play then?

I'm not sure really mate. We'd prefer for faster drivers to not be in one as its very easy to drive.. But if our fastest driver is in one then I don't see any reason why you can't.. A bit weak though imo

I don't mind hugely. People should run what they please.. I'm running the GTO. I was able to get a 1:21.. The thing is very difficult to drive ( as I've stuck a V12 in it ;) ), it is fast.. Its arguably as quick as the F40, just a lot more difficult to get around the track.

Above all I just want a fun race later.. I'm sure that even though there's only a few of us we'll have a great, epic race. I'm watching the F1 qualifying, about to pump in some meaningful laps pretty much for the first time since last Sunday

And just to warn you.. We may have to play around with the part settings as last time me and Muff tried chatting we couldn't get the party going. I'll probably try inviting him first to see how the connection is, and if I need someone else to set the party and invite everyone to it, then we'll sort it later

I wont be racing anyway so it's not a problem :)

I've got too much work to get sorted this weekend so I haven't had time to sort a car properly and can't be sure I'll be around at the start time, shame as I really wanted to run this track.

If I am around at 11 I'll give you a message and will run in the 599.

Hmmm....welcome to my world....the world of eventually being lapped.....and again......and again!!!!

I think it's lack of experience with the wheel and the cars. I'm more of a JDM kinda guy but I'm not in here to argue all cars are great. I didn't wanna shame out and buy the best possible legal car for the race. I bought the 458 and liked it it's slower then the F40 but I'll still have fun even getting lapped. It will make me a better racer. Plus maybe I'll learn some line I wasn't useing befor that's faster. After all I am consider a rookie here so I just hope to put on a good show.

Well chaps.. Its just a bit of fun at the moment. I think if people enjoy racing this way, then speed isn't a huge concern straight away.. The long races are a nice chance to be forced to complete loads of laps. Hopefully we'll revisit some o the categories we've already raced, so we can try and become even more familiar to cars that are somewhat familiar

My advice, Wes, just go to tune setup, then do lap after lap after lap. If you need a hand with setups, let me know.. Often I get to a point from doing loads of laps I can see it would be much better if my rear wasn't sliding all over the place mid-corner, for example

And booo to Nico Rosberg! As soon as I saw that I thought he did it on purpose.. Didn't think he was that kind of driver.. I bet he gets busted, as that looked ridonk to me

Thank you. I have done that but seeing as I had really 3 to 4 hours to perpare for this I think I did pretty good not knowing the cars that we'll was a disadvantage the 458 may not keep up with the better choices. I did atleast to learn the track a little. Good to know on the main straights there's a big enough run off area to get out of the way to avoid car pille ups. The rear sliping out on me isn't my problem. (We'll sometime but not often) it's the brake peddle I have ajustable the brakeing pressure a little bit to account for my slightly heavy foot. It's helped. The tire pressure is a little softer so the tires don't wanna slip as much. Aero is tuned to keep the car from sliping too. I know by tuneing it this way I lose some speed but it seems cornering will win the race so that dosnt bother me. Speed is importin on road America and the brick yard and la mans. Still not gonna be upset if I'm 10 laps behind and get a DNF. I'm happy to race with people intested in the same thing as me. Learning from them and overall haveing fun. This isn't a real life F1 race were not getting paid millions of dollers to race. We're just haveing fun. Don't get me wrong I'm gonna try to stat competive. But if some one bumps me off the road oh we'll shit happens and atleast we didn't crash $250000 cars in real life.
