GothicHamster 2 Report post Posted May 8, 2014 Hello All, I just figured I would say hi and introduce myself. I am a bit new to sim racing but, wow, what a fantastic hobby I am finding it so far! This forum has been a great pace for me to lurk and learn. I wonder if catching the racing bug is a valid excuse for a sick day tomorrow? -Shane
lopsided 345 Report post Posted May 8, 2014 Hello Shane, Scratch the sick day cuz these guys are going to fill your head with so many cool ideas and before you know it.... you will need all the money you can make to pay for them! lol I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Lot's to learn and digest when you're first getting started but just enjoy it and if you need help just ask... wrong answers are free of charge, correct answers may cost you. lol Bailey
mikedem 124 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Welcome, generally if I wake up and realize where I may be able to shave a few seconds off a lap or try a new line then it has to be a sick day. I mean holding that urge in all day can be bad for you!
CaTaPulT 658 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Yeah, but making a habit out of missing work can make you go broke...... er, uh, never mind, if you get into this enough, you'll go broke anyways! lol Welcome to sim racing GothicHamster. Take care Regards: >>>> Jack <<<<

UNKLE 1,429 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 I'm glad to see your sig name isn't Gothic Gerbil, cause otherwise I dread to think what photo Paul might have found. Welcome BTW!
GothicHamster 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Right now Assetto Corsa and rFactor2. I have a number of others that I have not touched yet but those are the main 2 for me right now. In AC I have been enjoying the vintage run with the 1975 F1 and the modern run with the Lotus. The G25 has been fine for me. I just see all the shinny new gear in the videos and all of your fine rigs and get a bit of envy
