Dude.. 2:09s is great.. I'm just dipping into that territory.. I'd pick whichever has the prettiest cockpit

 

 

 

 

Everyone okay with 18 laps? I thought it might be a longer race, but the laps are much shorter on Silverstone.. Could bump it up to 20 maybe

Happy with anything around 20 laps.

I had a torrid time last night running without assists for the 1st time and I haven't had an opportunity to practice today.

I can see me getting lapped numerous times....I'll try to keep up!

Well yeah, 20 is reasonable.. The previous race was about 50 minutes. 18 laps of this is about 40 so two more is a nice compromise 

 

 

So long you as you have a nice set-up then it doesn't matter where you finish. Removing the assists while in cockpit view is extremely difficult.. The more laps you complete the easier it will become, so the main thing is just putting the laps in

Same problem, I realised after an hour of playing with my no aero tune that it just simply wasn't going to get any faster, bolted the wings on and got a good full second improvement

 

And can I just check, you say 10GMT, Is that 11 UK time then?

GMT is UK time.. 30 minutes away boss

Still undecided on which car

Aston I can get 2:08.9xx but I don't wanna drive it in the race.

Few other cars are in low 9s so I think I'll wait and see what other people choose before deciding.

Cars - both mercs, ford gt40, shelby cobra,jaguar, aston, Alfa 8c and the Cadillac

Sim steering completely threw me off, hadn't practiced with that at all.

Maybe having the choice between normal and sim would be better, it's hard enough in cockpit view and without other assist as it is.

On the plus side I've now built up my collection of a class cars

Allowed to upgrade cars, but must stay A class and RWD..

 

You can use 4WD A class cars only, and only if you convert them to RW drive (Audi R8 V8 and V10, Ferrari FF, Ford RS200, Lambo Murcielago/Reventon/Aventador,Gallordo LP570-4 and Nissan GT-R Black Edition)

 

Track - Road Atlanta  

 

 

 

** Probably going to exclude the X-bow as that car dominates in this category looking at the leaderboards, and I'd like to ensure variety. Will also be excluding the other two track day cars; Lotus 2-eleven and Caterham R500

I thought my car setup had a gremlin or something because it was so twitchy then after about 10 laps and a crash it dawned on me . . . sim steering was on!  

 

Might have to go see my dad next Saturday but we'll see . . .
