Cidi 3 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 I`m starting again with sim racing after I stopped playing serious around 10 years ago and wanted to see if some people have some feedback. I`m probably going with a Playseat Evolution and a T500RS. I have read a lot about the T500RS, but wanted to see if some people here have experience with the Playseat Evolution over a longer period of time. I have seena few reviews for it, but they all had them in use only for a short time frame and not over several weeks of constant playing. I was wondering if the seat is conftable enough for extended play and how annoying the center post of the seat is over a longer time. I also looked at the Obutto oZone but that one seems to be rather cumbersom for wheel mounting the the Obutto Revolution is outside of my budget. Darin Gangi 1,074 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 For comfort and being a well rounded rig, I would go OZone over the Evolution. I have an Evo setup for Forza right now and I'm not very fond of it. The newer Playseats where the post comes out from the seat are much better. The older Evos aren't my favorite.
Cidi 3 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 The Playseat Revolution where the post is coming out from the seat is also an option I`m having an eye on. The OZone seems to be a bit cumbersom for mounting the wheel from what I have seen in the review. I`m also looking right now at the RaceRoom Gameseat RR1000 that doesn`t have a center pole and looks very atractive. I wouldn`t mount a screen onto it so the wobble would be less of an issue for me because it`s not a permanent setup only something that I put up in front of the TV when playing on consoles or PC so it also needs to be made somewaht compact to fit into the storage space when not in use. I`m also looking at the Fanatec rig, but the chair is a bit off putting. In general I look at rigs int he price range of 300-400 Euros. Edit: By now I even consider getting the Clubsport over the T500RS. Every time I look up stuff I see better and more awesome hardware to get :/ On a budget it`s hard to find a perfect Rig, I find some of them the be better in certain ares while lacking in others and vice versa for other rigs. Gunstar 615 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 I use a hard mounted T500RS on my oZone and it was as simple as can be, just measured and drilled. I don't think for the money you can do any better.

Cidi 3 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 I`m in Ireland so the shipping is rather low for the GT Omega. That looks like a good option.
