amb7247 3 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 I want to get back into iracing and I also want to replace my Fanatec Turbo S due to it overheating, the fan noise and shutting off during races. I'm also interested in the custom jobs people have done to their Logitech G27. Is there any place where I can purchase one already customized or do people do these things for others? I'm not the most tech savvy person when it comes to taking things apart and putting things back together. I thought about the T500 RS as well and the price tag is well up there. I thought about taking my HTPC video card (7970) and moving it to my other computer and replacing that with a 7870 and upgrading my ram from 6GB to 12B DDR 3 1600 and Overclocking the click speed just a few hundred Mhz but nothing to extreme. Thanks.
Ricky Davies 326 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 You can buy after market wheels such as momo, OMP etc and use a wheel adapter from DSD or SRH. if your not keen on the idea of an aftermarket wheel you can get n SLI wheel plate which consists of buttons, encoders and a display http://simracinghardware.com/product-category/wheel-plates-kit/ You could combine the wheelplate with an aftermarket wheel if you wanted to. Have fun and hope to see some photos of your final peice CHEERS!
amb7247 3 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks. Think I can do this without messing everything up? lol. I think as long as there are some instructions, I should be ok.
Ricky Davies 326 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks. Think I can do this without messing everything up? lol. I think as long as there are some instructions, I should be ok. Heres the ISR Wheel plate video review with installation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8yH6oQ2Yt8 If your going for an after market wheel, it's best to try and find a pre-drilled one, some brand new wheels momo and OMP come with no holes and you need to drill them yourself to match the DSD or SRH adapter CHEEERS!
