Hi Guys,

I ordered my gaming pc on Dec 23,2013….I still haven't received it…I am madder than a hornet or should I be? I did make a change a week and a half after I ordered it….Even still this is to me anyway taking way to long….I am right or wrong?

 rfernandes…..

Yes already paid for. They have a nice website. I just can't imagine that they would rip someone off after all the work they put into that site…. 800 number, live chat, multiple packages to choose from….But I will call them Monday. Here's hoping….

What company did you get it from and did they promise a turn around time ?

I think the order got lost, as you made the order before christmas eve and they would be most likely not working. Then the new year so transition from 2013 to 2014. Id put it to a lost order and might not of even been sent out. give them a ring your entitled to a refund if you have not received it. hope it gets sorted

Not to start a habit of following Darin,  but @Deadeye -  What manufacturer did you order from?  What is their stated build time, burn-in time, and ship time? You likely ordered at the peak of demand (i.e. around Christmas in the US), and that might have an effect too.  Not to make light of your concern - but based on the date, this is not in the "I need to hire a lawyer" zone quite yet.

How's about you let us know who it is you're dealing with?  You may find that someone here already knows them and can put your mind at ease. :)

Best of luck - cheers -

Build time 16 days….. I could have paid extra for a 4 day turnaround time but I didn't. I did change the order 10 days afar I ordered the original. But that is still a long time to wait especially since the rep told me they would most likely have it done last Monday

Just in cad ether come through I am gong to hold back on their name. I just talked with their rep a week ago Friday.

If I did get ripped off which I will find out Monday I will let you know who it was. But that ends my simracing. The only thing then is that I can help with set-ups for you all… I am still hoping that they just have crummy build times. It is a $1200 ouch otherwise….

You can't judge a book by its cover, but they do have a high end website that is very responsive. So I doubt you're going to get burned base don the looks of the site.

In regards to your situation, you did change your order 10 days after you originally placed it. I would take that into account. Also, depending on where you are located, it may take up to a week to get to you via shipping. I would call them and ask what the status of your order is and if they shipped it, get a tracking number.

Thanks Darin and everyone else….

That's why I del good about them when I ordered it.. I just don;t think someone would go through all that trouble for a high end site to rip people off. But as you said you can't jusdfe a book by it's cover…. Yes I did change the order too and maybe that throws a wrench into things. Although I have ordered Dells in the past and I get them within 10 days…..Live and learn….

We'll find out Monday….

Deadeye,

Based on their Web presence, I don't think you have much to worry about.  Give them a call, and I expect that soon you will be posting about a great new PC.  Do keep the ISR community updated!

Cheers -

*** UPDATE ***

I rec'd an email that my pc will be shipped tomorrow 2/4/2013. His reply was rather rude and he took no blame for not contacting me with just a friendly "Jim I will know Monday" type of reply. I would have been a happy camper if he had. As of now no matter how nice this pc is I will rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the greatest ever company ever to work with, I'll give them a 2.

If they would have better customer service I would have bragged them up, told you about the length of the build as no big deal and maybe you would have bought a pc from them. As of now their customer service needs a lot of help. I would have never made a dime in business if I would have treated c customers this way.  Could it be that they are Husker fans and I am a Badger fan through and through?   lol

Nice racing rig J.A.R.V.I.S.!   I checked the photos…. I am sure it will be good once I receive it. Just disappointed in their customer service. Like I said I am used to buying Dell's and so a gamer company seems to be a lot slower at delivery.

Thanks mate. I appreciate you liking it. There's all kinds of slow delivery companies in this world... Sadly we always end up using the slowest ones :P

While I can emphasize with you over the entire process, please don't compare a custom built gaming computer to anything you get from Dell. I am not saying Dell is bad at all, but they are not even on the same scale for comparison. Chances are, this is a small company, MINUSCULE in the shadows of Dell and it really is unfair to compare that way.

Now, a small company SHOULD be able to provide better customer support, especially if they are just simply really behind because of the holidays. If this was the case, it should at least have been explained to you. But, there are two sides to every story and without their's.....well maybe you upset someone LOL and rightfully so with what you spent.

My last point.....you can almost throw a solid week out, if not two, because of the time you ordered it. It is VERY likely that your order may not have even been processed until that Friday or the following week because of Christmas. The next week is New Years and you may lose 2-3 days there easily. Now, 10 days into the order, you changed things. This could have REALLY set them back, especially if they were already building the system or had to order parts (they can't possibly stock every part they will need) Also, the 16 days turn around.....is this "working" days? Most places it is. And the last thing, maybe there ETA dates change based on orders and once you changed the order, you got pushed back and they were extra busy with kids spending Christmas $$$.

I am not trying to make it sound like there was nothing wrong, that you had nothing to worry about or that they are a great company, just that there were some special circumstances that could have been overlooked. I too would have been concerned with that amount of money spent, but not so much as to say they deserved the worst review ever short of ripping you off.

In the end, I was really hopping to calm you down and maybe let you see things from another perspective. Ultimately, I think you are going to be racing soon and will forget about it all :)

The end result will tell if the wait was worth it, if the computer runs flawlessly, is well built (no shortcuts taken) and reliable, then I'd say the wait was worth it, as Captain said, during the Xmas season, things get flaky due to being overloaded and so on. Now the test will be if they built you a good computer, took their time to do it right and if you are happy with the computer itself and not the experience. Also, maybe the rude response might have been the fellow having a bad day, maybe his dog peed on his shoes or something lol (I know it's not much of an excuse), next time you need some support, if you have a question, that will be the test of their support perhaps?

Good luck with the new PC, I hope it's everything you want it to be. :)

Take care

Hey Captain and Jack,,,Points well taken. If they would have had better customer service I would not even have brought this up. I was in business for 20 years and would not have survived if a customer asked me for something and I didn't reply. That's what irritated me and gave me cause for concern. I am sure the machine will be a good one. I'll let ya know….

**** It's Here ****

I received my Xotic pc today and I am impressed. I haven't nor will I plus it in today as the temps are aroun zero or colder. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything but why take the chance.

It is a mid tower but it came in a box 17x30x30. Huge!  It gad the Corsair packaging on the ends as one would expect but also tucked into and all around it top, bottom and booth sides was that form fitting styrofoam pillows. Also to protect the video card inside the case were also styrofoam pillows. They even had a warning sheet to remove them first and how to do it so you didn't unplug anything.

Aiong with the pc came a folder with Xotic on it and inside a Thank you page, a Certificate of Ownership and the test results they put the mating through prior to shipping. Plus all the paperwork in the motherboard box.

The last thing is that XOTICPC is also lettered down the side of it top to bottom. Looks pretty cool!

That's it for now. When I fire it up and load something in I will let you know the final result. Build, packaging and other stuff they get a 10. Customer service a 5. Final build ?.
