TakumiFuji01 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 I notice that there's been a few changes to the refreshed G27 which comes in a black box design. Few changes I notice was the firmware, encoder board and the optical encoder it self. Some of you may have seen FREX announced about this but I wanted to do a close-up. First two were designed for the G25 and the G27 with the green and black design, the 3rd one was designed for the latest refresh. I notice the 3rd was designed to avoid center-loss with the cracks but it's somewhat a problem for me, but at least it isn't like the first optical encoder for my old G27. Perriace 1 Report post Posted January 22, 2014 Looking at that it would seem to have less resolution as it has less increments in the encoder wheel . I am returning the "G27 Refresh" as it seems it does have less sensitivity around the center position of the steering , my DFGT has way more feel and way more FFB strength (I also have a Fanatec GT3 RS wheel which also feels very lack luster compared to the DFGT) I hope it is just a faulty wheel as it would be nice to get an improvement over the DFGT though it is an absolutely fantastic wheel for the price . I know what you mean about the DFGT's FFB feel. I too, was a DFGT owner before and I loved that thing so much. To be honest actually, I never used it for almost a year or two when I got it until I decided to motivate myself to get into racing with wheel and understand what's it like to feel the road DFGT was just awesome! When I upgraded to my G27, it was good and felt awesome. Now I have owned both the Non-Refresh DFGT, Non-Refresh G27 and refresh G27. I felt personally the Non-Refresh was better.
