Any tweaks or improvements I can make right off the bat?

I'm buying a NEW G27 and after some lengthy playtime with it, I would like to tweak and modify it to its fullest extent.

Straight up first thing I realized about the wheel compared the rest in today's market of sim crap, I've noticed that the FFB is a lil' outdated. NOT TOO MUCH, but a lil. Are there any modifications with gears, rotary, springs, whatever I can try in the near future on wheel, without possibly killing my wheel like Shaun almost did on YouTube? [i don't plan on spending hundreds of dollars, not much at all, to be exact I guess]

I'd do a GT EYE or Nixim mod on the brake pedal and call it good. If you want a "stronger" wheel just jump right up to a Thrustmaster or Fanatec... and get ready to spend those hundreds. But G27 in stock trim isn't bad at all.

I just installed the GTEYE mod.  I'm finding it too stiff to use in socks.  After about 15 minutes the ball of my foot is quite sore.  I couldn't comfortably reach 100% brake input so I end up calibrating it to about 80% = 100% brake in iracing, but then I noticed I didn't have a very satisfying amount of pedal travel.

Another thing is that if you are a left foot braker and use the clutch pedal as your brake (so as to give more room between your legs) you cannot really use the GTEYE spring on the clutch pedal because the pedal is too far to the left and the stiffness is too much for the pedal chassis, causing it to twist and lift the bottom right corner off the ground.

If you install it only on the middle brake pedal, and use shoes to drive, then yes, I can say GTEYE mod is good.

I will try to get used to it, but I can't see my lap times getting any better seeing as how uncomfortable it is for me to drive with it in socks.

Can you give some comparison... if driving with socks using the GTEYE is too stiff, how does it compare to the stock brakes without the GTEYE?  Is it too soft?  How much different?
