A few tips and links here for you that might be to some help.

With your G27 make sure to use your Logitech profiler to adjust your wheel settings as well as in the sim your using. If your looking for settings to improve the FFB/handling for F1 2013 there are a few posts here that might help. http://isrtv.com/forums/forum/98-f1-2013/

For iracing and getting started with tips and other guides to racing then i reccommend and so many others will agree watching the iracing drving school videos. Also what you learn in the iracing driving school you can carry over to other games as well so its very useful.

here are a few links.

The general rule of thumb for a G25/27 profile settings on PC is FFB just over 100,,,say about 107,,for the simulation to properly communicate the full feedback to the wheel then allow the game to control FFB settings.Center spring is turned on but the slider is at 0.Do not combine axises. You want both the brake and throttle on a separate axis.

Dump the video game and join iRacing now if iRacing is indeed your sim of choice.Anyone I know that came from F201whatever said that they should have done it a lot sooner. For iRacing be sure to set the degree of rotation at 900.G27 actually only has 880 degree of rotation so that may work better. For in game settings I wouldnt use any dampening or minimal force,(whatever its called) and I wouldnt set the in game FFB over 20.Even then you may encounter clipping.Clipping is when one or more forces max out resulting in the loss of other feedback forces eventually causing you to have a wheel that is difficult to turn with absolutely no FFB data being sent through the wheel.

I agree with the posts above. Get on iRacing now, you can practice there without having to race. IF you are still on the fence get a better sim than the ones you're playing like Game Stockcar 2013.

If your new before iracing maybe try out some rfactor just so you get the hang of sim racing, shift 2 and f1 are no where near a sim game fun none the less but id try out some other sim's gtr2 rfactor  game stockcar, also keep an eye out for the iracing offers before you sign up theres the 3 month iracing cadillac offer for $1
