gerald 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 Hi guys I'm wanting to start simracing but i don't know where to start i want a cheap sim not something like iracing but a cheaper one any help where I could start
kenpat 8 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 I kind of depends what type of cars you want to drive but Race 07 on Steam is currently £0.74 or Race injection is £2.54. Great physics and plenty of cars. Tracks and mods by the ton for adding. Older graphics but really not bad. For a bit more money there's Game Stock Car. A more modern sim but based on the same engine as Race series. Less cars and tracks but excellent handling. I would really recomend the Simbin Race 07 series to start off as cheaply as possible and with the amount of content it'll keep you going for a long time. Hope that helps. Darin Gangi 1,074 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 I would get Game Stock Car 2013 since it's only $25 and a heck of a package. I agree with Kenpat as well on Race 07 content. rFactor has tons of content, but you need to know how to manage files to gt the most out of it.

ronzer 25 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 Yes GSC 2013 for $25 is the best sim out there with tons of mods.
Ricky Davies 326 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 Also all new content will be released monthly so it seems like they are taking the same route as rfactor and AC. keeping you in your seat waiting for the next car and track. So in the long run its worth buying.
CaTaPulT 658 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 I have to agree with Race07 (race injection is race07 with extra content). Race07 is well done, menus are better laid out than rFactor, also has great support for triple screens if you have that or plan on getting it. Graphics wise, it's decent, actually, pretty good considering it's age. It's also easier in all respects (driving, setting up, user friendly) than some of the other titles. This is a great first sim to start on. The really cool part, it's dirt cheap on Steam! Good luck and enjoy your adventure into sim racing. Take care Regards: >>>> Jack <<<<
Johnny Carr 106 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 I agree with Jack on the Race07. Now I'm going to go get GSC lol
El Caco 3 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 Save your money and forget Simbin. Just grab GSC2013 and if you have money left over get Assetto Corsa as well. Today GSC2013 is the best sim outside iRacing. In the not to distant future Assetto Corsa may make all other sims obsolete but today AC doesn't offer enough to be your first or only sim. Check out GSC2013 on youtube. The graphics are nice, it has good AI for offline fun, the physics are great and leagues as well as the modding community seem to be getting behind it. Personally I recommend iRacing and spend almost all my time there but if I wasn't on iRacing and had just one title at the moment it would be GSC2013. If Kunos manages to get their netcode right this time and add good multiplayer then in the not too distant future it's possible that Assetto Corsa might be the only title worth considering. I'll just add, Assetto Corsa really needs a top end gaming system, because of it's age the Simbin titles can be a pain. If your system is relatively new but not that powerful then once again I'd point you to GSC over the others.
jeffmb45 15 Report post Posted November 30, 2013 GSC 2013. $25, and they say they will be adding updates and content monthly for free. Also there are already mods coming out for it. And it is really an outstanding sim, best to date on the ISI engine IMO.
Loek Engels 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2013 Maybe F1 2012/13. You can find them cheap and it has tyre wear, pitstops, damage and a career mode, yeah it's not as realistic as GSC 13 but for starting it looks the best for me...... BTW i started without noticing it. I bought GTR evo because i wanted WTCC cars
J.A.R.V.I.S. 282 Report post Posted December 1, 2013 GSC 2013, and if you have the money, some not so realistic sims like F1 2013 (which is a fabulous game in my opinion). When you get used to realistic physics, it's an easy choice. iRacing. >Cheers!< Jrv01
