theseeker 2 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 I am about to jump in headfirst and I made my final list of hardware and software to purchase; CSW Base F1 Rim BMW GT2 Rim CS Pedals V2 CS Shifter SQ CSL Wheel Stand F1 2013 Asseto Corsa I am tempted to get a seat, but with all the choices I need to do some more research. Now I just have to wait and see what Black Friday brings. I noticed that Fanatec had a nice promotion last year and it would be nice to get a deal! I was building up everything for iRacing moving over from Forza on Xbox. I bought the ClubSport Base, BMW rim, and pedals. I was waiting to get a rig before purchasing a shifter and have just been using the flappy paddles on the rim. I want a F1 rim, but don't really like the current one from them. I am really hoping they come out with something that is more like a true F1 rim with dials and other things like on the T500 wheel. I am very happy with the Fanatec parts I have gotten so far. My gas pedal was super annoying with a major squeak after about 60 minutes of use, but I just fixed that finally this past weekend. Good luck and enjoy! F1 2013 will definitely be on sale during the Steam Winter sale (and in all likelyhood, the autumn sale during Thanksgiving). You could get both for the same price or maybe even less by waiting.
