Mad Mike 41 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 Hello race fans. Well I'd be happy to help where I can. My areas of "expertise" knowledge are limited on computers. I've replaced lots of PC parts installed drivers n software simple stuff like that. But couldn't tell you what is best to buy I've never used any online games other than WOW lol or xbox live. But I do have a greater than most understanding of audio amplification and been building or modding stuff since I was 5ish. My motto: if it's not working take it apart and clean it and reassemble it. most times it's just dirty of some small break somewhere and easy to fix. History: age 12 I got my first sears home stereo with phonograph and cassette !!! A couple months later I found 3 sets of bookshelf speakers at a yard sale. So I hooked them all up. Positive goes to positive neg to neg right? All good. 4 speakers each side. Loud as hell!!! For about 10 minutes then. Hey? What's that burning smell? Smoked it. Well that's when I called my friend and asked to talk to his dad. He was an electronics repair man. That's when I got the lecture about volts, amps watts and ohms. Armed with this I've built a thousand sound systems from car to home stereo to home theater to pro audio. We now own a DJ/KJ entertainment company. And I have more pro audio and lighting products than you can shake a stick at. I have used transducers in cars and home theater but never my own. Until now. I bought the lil Dayton 25w16ohm puck 4 pack for my XRod. A: the price point was good B: the size was right for where I wanted to attach them. C: I had a 50w 4ohm plate amp already and just wanted to tap off my RCA's for the plate amp for a single channel for rumble strips n bumps Xbox not setup for multiple channel simvibe 4 @ 16ohm wired in series = 4ohm load perfect for my amp although I'm splitting my 50watt Between 4 transducers they still work great because of placement being so close to me. In my seat foam and directly under my peds hard mounted. You can hear them but they vibrate not burp. With my 5.1 adding to that I can strangely feel it more on the side I hit the rumble strip???wtf it's single channel but I feel left n right in my seat. Sure it's just my imagination and the surround sound. I have placed other comments about amplification and speakers /transducers on the forum under "audio" but any questions you may have about amplification or speaker/transducer placement I will gladly help as best I can. Just want my racing friends to get all they can out of their money and time. So if you want me I'm here Thank so much to everyone posting here you have taught me a ton about computers n what to buy when I am ready. I'm sure I'll have a million questions when I build one so I'll be happy to help anyone I can with audio advice. I will eventually build a PC rod of some sort. And it will have at minimum sim vibe and perhaps motion. Idk. But I am addicted to racing and can't afford a real race car or the bills that come with it also my wife might have something to say about it being "dangerous" Have a great day racers! kenpat 8 Report post Posted November 23, 2013 Probably an idea to have Mods in different time zones. Means one poor guy (or girl) doesn't have to face to much work as the site grows.

That makes sense. UNKLE & CaTaPulT could cover the Americas and I'm sure there will be others like Joe Berkett to cover Oceonia. My god you've nearly spanned the globe already.
