Mad Mike 41 Report post Posted November 25, 2013 If you can get the red legend for 40$ jump on it. It's a great deal More wheel than I got in the HORI for 89$! When looking I just couldn't find it -in stock- for less than 70$ inc shipping. eBay used starting bid was 38$ no buy now either. So 40$ is a great deal on that wheel. OmegaDL50 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2013 Well I am not that serious of a Sim Racer. I've been playing Gran Turismo for years on pad, I'm trying to wean myself off from it. Gran Turismo 6 is just a mere two weeks away and I don't even want to play the game without using some sort of wheel full time. I just hope the game even has settings for the wheel. Actually now that I think about it usually a new wheel is announced for each new Gran Turismo game, I'm surprised Polyphony Digital didn't get a contract a license out to Thrustmaster or Logitech for an official "GT6" wheel. I'll probably end up buying that Red Legend wheel since Thrustmaster is a reputable brand. The sooner I can start driving the F40 in GT6, the happier I'll be. Slalom 2 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 With the budget you are looking at I would highly recommend getting a used wheel. I have gotten about four wheels on Craigslist, and with just a little patience you can find some good deals. I would recommend either a logitech dfgt, I got mine for about $40, but most I have seen would be closer to $60 still being a great deal. It really is a great budget wheel. The logitech dfp is pretty good too. I just picked up one up for $15, although anything under $50 would still be good. It's also a 900 degree wheel. A last used option could be to find a wheel and seat combo and then sell the seat. I've seen a couple that were cheap enough together that you could then sell the seat for what you paid for both or close to it. If you are willing to get a wheel with less than 900 degrees (which I would say try to get one with 900) then the logitech driving force for ten or twenty bucks used would probably be abut the same as the cheaper thrustmasters. Could be an okay starter wheel. Anything you get you will probably like. Enjoy.
