Game Stock Car 2013...fantastic

46 posts in this topic

I'm loving this already, i was up until 3am this morning racing!. - I can't stick to one car because there all so good haha. The AI are a lot better then other titles like simbin, i was happy to see one AI driver pull back from my left rear as we went into a corner. i know in other titles they would just go for it and bump you across until they passed. great so far can't wait to see whats happening in the update on release.

One question.. Whats the best % to have AI aggression and strength?

CHEERS! :D

I would just recommend starting by having the Str so that you can clock about mid range times, and when it starts becoming easier by learning the cars/setups/tracks, turn the % up so that you always have a proper challange. Close challanging racing, theres nothing quite like it :).

About the aggression, Im still kinda playing with that, but as a rule of thumb, if the AI starts to over take you by just merely pushing you out of the way, they are little too aggressive.

Can you run GSC with triple screens?

Yes.

Thats what I'm running atm. aswell. They can give a good fight, and I really like that they make quite convincing mistakes aswell, adds to the immersion.

Hello everyone

Raceface - the link you supplied to car and track mods....are they for GSC 2013, do they all work in the game itself?

Kind regards

Old Timer

I've yet to see any of the older GSC mods that don't work in 2013. Doubt you'll find any that don't work.

It's not officially released yet. If you "pre-order" now, you can download and play the release candidate. The official, and updated version, will be coming soon. You'll be able to update if you buy now..

DRM and Nordschleife, what a combo. If that wont get your petrol head spinning, nothing will... cant wait for someone to turn these up to GSC2013 standards, but they work perfectly fine as they are.

Also gave finally the good 'ol Fittipaldis Retro F1 some beans, and those are some seriously fun cars to race in.

First corner with the retro, and forgot....No downforce/ very little haha and well you can guess the outcome ;)

I saw the following video for the karts... and it looks fun enough.

Just wondering... How many kart specific tracks are in GSC 2013?  And can you play a single player season with them?  Is there ability to do heat races?  Or just Qual/Race (likely due to gMotor limitations)?  I'm on the fence for the purchase as you may tell.

9 kart specific configurations total of 2 different tracks. Yes you can play two types of championship seasons with karts. Theres option for 1-3 practice sessions, I dont know about heat stuff, but its hella fun never the less.

Hey guys, had a search on google but couldn't fine the Blancpain mod, anyone got a link?

no you can purchase it from their website, certainly the pre-release version anyway then you can get the updated version once it's officially released.

I really want to like this title and I've got the FOV, FFB and steering to work to my liking (after many hours of tweaking) but the braking is just plain rubbish with the load cell and I can't figure out why.

hey UNKLE can you share your tweaking/settings for FFB and steering? & what wheel are you running

To anyone who is happy with their FFB, please post your settings.

I;m using fanatec CSR, & whilst its the drive is okay, i just dont feel the same way about the FFB in the game. it's just not clear about when traction is lost at either end of the car. after playing Asetto Corsa i think GSC13 falls way short in driving experience.. but i want to like it

This is Reiza's guide to steering wheel settings - I found it pretty useful (at least for Logitech DFGT):

"For a more realistic steering ratio, we recommend setting wheel rotation to 540 degrees and a steering lock (located in the in-game garage Menu) around 22 degrees for the Stock V8s and the Formula cars.

For the Camaro, 900 degrees of rotation and the maximum in-game steering lock of 33 degrees is most appropriate.

Make sure to also update the “steering wheel range=” parameter accordingly in your profile´s controller.ini, so that the in-game wheel rotation match that of your controller."
