eggcarton 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2013 Hi all, I opened up my G27 shifter the today and very carefully took it apart, as I want to mount it outside of the case. When I pulled out the main component a spring fell out with it and I haven't been able to find where it goes. The spring centres the gearstick in the up-down direction. TDH 4 Report post Posted October 1, 2013 it goes in the bottom of the shifter from the one metal plate to the other one. You'll see there is a small hole in both metal plates. This spring help both metal plates to compress them and keep the shifter base tight. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
