  1. Hello, my name is Kevin Shepherd I am a stand up comedian and sim racer. I am also a massive Motorsport fan and have an ambition to become a racing driver and wonder if it is possible for a 44 year old comedian to do so. Old Dog New trick is a series where I am trying to do just that, my hope is that it is something that you'll enjoy watching. You can watch the first episode here;
  2. I had a great race against the AI in RaceRoom with the fun Porsche GT4 car around Zandvoort using my Oculus Rift. Jason.

    Dirt Rally in VR

    Watch me wince my way through a sprint Rally stage on Dirt Rally in VR Jason.
  4. I was lucky enough to get to test a pre release version of Shaun Clarkes latest mod for Assetto Corsa and so put my thoughts about it on video while racing it around the Nurburgring Sprint track. I cant wait for the mod to go live and for others to have as much fun with it as i did in this video. Jason.

  6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VisionRacer VR3 : Mk 2.5 Update February 2017 The "Breeze Simulator" Update January 2017 Latest Bluetooth wheels: Update January 2017 New VR sim rig room with padded walls for injury avoidance with Touch games! Update June 2016 C7 Daytona Prototype and upgraded Accuforce wheel with bluetooth Update April 2016 Hydraulic Handbrake and SimXperience Accuforce Wheel Update October 2015 Short throw projector added with 110" screen to compliment VR. Also upgraded to a Gigabyte GeForce 980TI G1 6GB card and upgrade the T500 to an Accuforce. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VisionRacer VR3 : Mk 2 Update April 2015 Gone completely VR. PC is on an AV trolly with locking wheels, monitor can be swung closer or tilted while seated. Monitor switches off and activates Virtual Desktop automatically when the DK2 is turned on, gyroscope mouse is then used instead of the mouse and keyboard which is now only used as a backup Total of 6 Aura shakers for SimVibe chassis and extensions mode, 1 under pedals (extensions), 2 at each side of the pedals (chassis), 2 under seat (chassis), 1 on back of seat (extensions) VR3 wheel brace kit which will provide additional strength for the Accuforce Two SMSL amps, these two drive the chassis shakers, there's an additional amp along with a USB sound card for the extensions shakers under the seat Modified the pedal plate to allow for the additional shakers using perforated stainless steel It was a military operation hiding all the wires and making it all look neat and tidy. The AV trolly can be separated from the rig in one easy step by simply detaching 3 cables. The idea is that I can move the AV trolly around to play other Rift games. I also plan on having a projector added to the top of the cart for movies and possibly a super FOV setup. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VisionRacer VR3 : Mk 1 My MOMO VisionRacer VR3 rig with removed center support post, pretty pleased with the results so far all things considered, what do you think? 7. Selling my SimXperience Stage 3 Simulator as a complete "turnkey" system. Ordered October 2014, but did not arrive until 2015. It's all in great condition, and works perfectly. At this time I'd like to sell it as a complete system but will consider splitting it up eventually should it not find a home. Here is a quick rundown of all of the parts that are included: SimXperience Stage 3 motion rig with rear traction loss ($5200 new) Sparco EVO FIA cert seat and side mounts ($800 new can be used in a real car as well) SimXperience SE Edition of Mini ButtKicker LFE bass shaker ($100 new) Heusinkveld Pro Sim Pedals with baseplate: Throttle/brake/clutch with baseplate and custom Ricomotech pedal inversion frame that I adapted to allow the clutch and brake to hang from the "dash" and throttle on the floor just like in a Porsche. (Would cost $900 new for all the parts not including my time to build it) SimXperience Accuforce V1 Wheel includes original slip ring, and spare slip ring parts as well (Paid $1700 new but I realize it is worth about half this since the V2 came out) Custom PC (sorry forgot to take a picture will update this post with one): i7-3770, 8GB DDR3, MSI 970 GTX, 256GB Crucial SSD, Thermaltake Smart M 850W 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular PSU all in a NZXT Guardian 921 RB running Windows 7 TV: Seiki SE50UY04 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz LED TV with wall mount arm. Will do does 4K or true 120hz @ 1080p (Cost over $500 new) VR: Oculus Rift *Asking $5999 buyer must come pick up from my house in CT* All cables etc are included. I have all the original boxes and manuals and spare parts etc for just about everything but I am not going to even think about packing it up and shipping it. Please contact me for my email address, phone number to discuss further. Happy to answer any questions but please serious buyers only. Pictures: SOLD
  8. Hi All, I hope I don't break the rules with posting this here. I just made an interview with YouTube vlogger / Mixed Reality expert / racing driver Marcel Pfister, who uploads really cool videos. I think it's a relevant and very unique article. Enjoy: http://racinginvr.com/2017/03/13/interview-with-mixed-reality-racing-pilot-marcel-pfister/563 Thanks!
  9. Good morning, I new to the site and would love to get some advice or feedback. At this point I have been sim racing ( or playing racing games) for about a year and I really enjoy it. I am looking for more immersion. I have a homemade Franken-Rig set up. Wheel: G27 with shifter and inverted pedals PC: i5 6500, 6GB 1060, 8GB RAM, SSHD, ASUS Z170 MB Monitor: 32" TV Games: Project Cars, Grid, Dirt Rally, Race Room Experience, also looking to buy Assetto Corsa, and maybe setting up an iRacing account I have around $800 dollars for upgrades and would like to know where I should spend the money. Should I spend the money on a better wheel combo like a CSW and Fanatec shifter or just stay with the G27 and spend the money on better optics like the Oculus rift or a used set of triples? Jake
