  1. Hello fellow sim racers! Today I have decided to start a thread about a project I recently completed as I believe some Thrustmaster wheel owners may be interested. This is a button plate for the T500 wheel base that uses an Arduino board and sketch to emulate the original T500 GT rim. This means the button plate is recognized by the T500 base as the original rim, so console compatibility is maintained. There is also no need for an external USB as the Arduino is powered by the wheelbase. I was turned on to this project when I came across a blog/tutorial written by Taras from rr-m.org. Taras built a similar console compatible button plate using an Arduino board for the TX wheelbase. He has now also added a blog post for the T500 rim emulation since we where able to confirm that we in fact have a working sketch. Taras should be given full credit for all of the software, sketch writing and wiring diagrams for both the TX and T500 emulations. This was my first time using Arduino so his knowledge was definitely needed for my project to be a success. In his blogs (linked below) you will find all of the necessary information to perform this project yourself, including the Arduino Sketches and wiring diagrams. I have included some pics of my button plate project as well as the YouTube video I upload showing my button plate working on both PS3 and in the control panel. Hopefully Taras will be joining isrtv and posting here about his TX project as well. The button plate I have made now is a very simple and plain design using an Arduino Uno R3, once I replace the 350mm rim with a suede 320mm rim I will make a much nicer button plate using an Arduino Nano. I hope you guys enjoy and please feel free to ask any questions or post any comments you may have, I always like to get feedback Edit: The TX emulation sketch is now confirmed to function with the T300 base. This sketch can be found and downloaded from Taras' blog part 3 in the link below. FS - T300 Parts

Thrustmaster T300rs parts for anyone who needs them. I would prefer to sell everything together. A few years ago I was experiencing motor problems and I tried fixing it, but then the project got pushed to the side. I went as far as opening the motor casing, and was unable to find a replacement motor at the time. I thought about pulling a motor from a TX base I have and put the T300 back together (or merging the electronics somehow) but I have moved on from that idea. I'm hoping this can help rescue someone's base that may need the power supply, original power cord, belts - etc. Asking $40 - Plus $5 - $20 shipping depending on location. I don't have an official weight yet but from the specs online I think the base is 11 lbs. US only. (Sorry)

  4. I need some help or advice or something. I use a Thrustmaster TS-XW, I’m still somewhat new to sim racing, so far I’ve mainly been playing rally games because I can’t feel oversteer in my wheel in road races. ive been attempting to play Project Cars 2 (on Xbox Series X) and here are my settings: flavour: Raw Gain:100 volume:55 Tone:55 Fx:60 ive tried for hours and hours to tweak the settings to help with this absent feeling or tire slip but it seems like nothing makes a difference. I got these settings from a guy on YouTube who uses a t300 and the raw flavour and he says it works very well for him but not so much for me. it’s my understanding that the wheel is supposed to go light when the rear tires lose traction, but I literally don’t feel it at all, it just stays exactly the same weight for me no matter what settings I use. if anything the wheel just feels heavier because it’s trying to turn in the direction of the cars movement, if I let go of the wheel it snaps very quickly to the right like it’s counter steering itself. The end result of this is that the only way I know when to counter steer is by visual and auditory cues, I have no Information from the wheel to go off of and it just kinda ruins the game for me because I catch slides way too late and spin out and it’s just frustrating and not enjoyable to play PC2 for this reason. I dont use any assists. I’m sorry for the long post but I feel like elaborating fully can help people leave better responses. also, my FFB isn’t clipping, I’ve watched the telemetry to make sure it’s not. TLDR; I can’t feel tire slip in my wheel no matter what settings I use, the wheel doesnt get lighter when I lose traction, it just stays the same weight and means that I can’t catch slides at all. thanks in advance for any responses.
