    DIY AMG GT3 Wheel

Hi everybody, I create this topic in order to follow the progress of my DIY wheel for Thrustmaster TS PC. As for the F1 steering wheel that I already made, I go on a base aluminum cutting and 3D printing for the remaining components. The goal is to reproduce the steering wheel of the AMG GT3 (2016 version) based on Assetto corsa model - Front Plate + Rear cover + paddles in aluminium - Magnetic shifter in 3D printing - Quick Release Thrustmaster in 3D Printing - Handles in 3D printing - Buttons and electronics: Arduino Nano for Thrustmaster emulation + Ebay buttons - Alu washers for the outline of the buttons The wheel is almost finished now ( remaining some electronic wiring)

    Thrustmaster Pedal Compatibility

So, i'm wondering. Can you use any thrustmaster pedal with any wheel? does it depend on console or year or something? I need new pedals for my T150. I don't want something super expensive. Like can i just use some cheap plastic pedals from a different wheel and console for example (but still thrustmaster). Can i use T300 RS pedals with the T150 wheel?
  10. Rarely used, Alcantara leather is in like new condition. No longer need this one with my Accuforce so I'd like to get it to a good home, and will also throw in an awesome set of decals which can be placed over the original text to indicate which buttons equate to a particular button number for XBOX or PC at no cost! $110 shipped within the US (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) Will consider international shipping but buyer is responsible for all taxes, shipping costs, and import duties. Email is the best way to reach me. [email protected]
  11. This is an easy mod to do and it cuts down the clacky noise from the paddles significantly. This is literally a 5 min job, or 2 if you've opened the wheel before and know where all the right screws are.The tact switches on the board are not that loud, but because the wheel uses a spring to actuate them, the spring resonates the sound and increases the volume. I spent a couple of hours trying to find all sorts of things to replace the springs with but I couldn't find anything that would compress enough to give a decent amount of paddle travel plus retain some of the tactile feeling of the button. In the end the solution turned out to be quite simple. Get some 10mm heatshrink, cut it to just a few mm shorter than the spring height, and apply it to the outside of the spring with a heat gun/hairdryer/lighter/dragon breath. To get to the springs you just need to remove 3 of the front bolts (Top left, top right and centre bottom, like an upside down triangle. If you have 3 long bolts, you've done it right. If you have any shorts ones, you've got the wrong bolt.), the two very small bolts on the front at the bottom, and then the 4 main screws on the back, and then the back cover will come off easily. Springs just pop off of the switches, might need to work them off from side to side, it's a very tight interference fit. Also, while you're inside, do the magnet mod as well, makes the paddle action feel better. I'll link to a video of that mod at the bottom too. Pics and a video: MAGNET MOD:
  12. Hi Is there a cheaper way to get this kind of display enclosure? https://opensimracing.com/collections/wheel-display/products/5-dispaly-enclosure?variant=7527390019614

But if anyone is interested, I can definitely get pictures Shipping from 92841, California. Local pickup is always welcome
  14. Hey all! I signed up here in the hopes that someone here might be able to help me out (and that I’m in the right section to get it). I just bought a used wheel from a charity site, a Thrustmaster Force Feedback USB NASCAR wheel and pedal set. Unfortunately when I got the item it was missing the cable that connects the pedal portion to the steering wheel portion. I don’t know the specific name for the cable but input looks almost like a telephone or ethernet jack. I have contacted Thrustmaster and several specialty sites that sell steering wheel setups and they all told me they don’t have the cable nor did they give me the specific name for the cable so I could track one down. I was wondering if anyone here might either have one of these cables they could sell me or perhaps know where I can get one online. I don’t know if by chance these wires are used on other products and therefore manufactured for individual sale but all my attempts searching only led me to a USB adapter that is no use to me. I know that I did’nt spend alot on this thing and that its a really old model but I can’t really afford the new models and would really like to be able to use this thing instead of it becoming a paper weight. Thanks in advance for any help that’s provided and hopefully someone here can help me out (fingers crossed).
  15. I have a like new thrustmaster TH8a shifter. Used only once. It is just too complicated for me I am a beginner. $139 shipped CONUS
  16. Hey Boyzzz, I recently bought a TM 599xx wheel/rim, from a fellow member here, and I wanted to share what I have done to Mod it I love this wheel, its' diameter, and just about everything else about this wheel...Except the Alcantara material on the stock wheel itself. I like the feel of Alcantara, but not for extended runs in Dirt Rally...My hands get dry and sorta 'smell of it' after a serious run or three. So, I bought a DIY Steering Wheel Kit (just like another isrtv member here) and spent a total of $16 to do this...$11 for the cover itself, and $5 for a local guy to cut the diameter of the cover down, and run a new seam. Total time for this mod took me a surprisingly 3 HOURS...but I LOVE THE FEEL OF THIS NEW COVER! I still have to tweak the sides a bit, to get it smooth...this is in my DIY sim rig that I will start posting pics soon...(pretty crazy The mod took about 15% of the force feedback down, but I ramped the power up to 90% vs the stock-shipped 75% setting...And my race times are way higher now...Please feel free to ask any questions/comments...
  17. Because I have a diy button box dashmount I made fitted to my wheel, the standard OSR one wouldn't fit due to the mount for my dash being 10mm acrylic. Steve made me one that was the style of the Fanatec one, with the screen mount the other way around. He nailed it, it's awesome. Fits perfectly. Right out of the packet: Test fit: Some 3M Di-Noc carbon vinyl bling added.

    CPX ADAPTER WANTED

I have been looking for a CPX adapter, v1 or v2, so I can pick up a set of Fanatec clubsport v2’s to hook up to my t300 wheelbase. No way I’m patient enough to wait for the CPX v3 to debut, especially with no timeframe known for the release. If you have a CPX adapter that you’d be willing to part with, please message me. Thanks
  20. Hey guys, I recently bought the TACTILE-FEEDBACK SEQUENTIAL SHIFT MOD PLATE from Ricmotech and I'm disappointed. PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SHORT THROW SHIFTER MOD Once assembled, the shift action is INCREDIBLY tough to perform - moreso in UPSHIFTS (towards the driver). I've actually reversed the little dubrey mechanism inside the unit, which helped a small amount. But I need any advice from people with the same issue ; has anyone used GREASE on this mod to help with a slightly less physical (and noisy) action? ++ UPDATE - I bought 2 x different size springs to fit inside the inner mechanism but neither were ideal size ++ It's so strong it will literally break my rig (F1GT) or the TH8A if the loud bangs when I use it don't piss off the neighbours first.... I've reached out to Ricmotech directly for support/advice but no reply yet. Many thanks, Chris/aeioux

  24. Hey guys, I have a complete plug and play setup for xbox one. its a thrustmaster tx base, the 599xxevo alcantara wheel, t3pa pro pedals and the thrustmaster shifter. located in Georgia. looking to sell it all together but willing to separate. open to offers! buyer pays shipping
  25. Finally bought a cockpit rig, the OpenWheeler model. Connected my T300RS GT edition to the rig, played for a half hour, and the base dies, no power. Ran all the troubleshooting, send it back to Thrustmaster, got it back, race for a half hour, DIES AGAIN!!! Now I am getting upset. They claim they had to replace the PCB last time, not sure why. Has anyone every experienced this issue? The thing worked fine for the couple months I had it clamped to a table. The mounting bolts are well under the recommended length, I even wedged a rubber seal in between the base and the mounting plate in case it was shorting out. I am waiting on another shipping label, but I can't handle dealing with this a third time. Thanks.
