GRID Autosport: Sprint Pack Released

Codemasters has released the Sprint Pack DLC for GRID Autosport, bringing 9 new championships to the PS3/XB360/PC racer. Four environments have been transferred from GRID 2, with 24 new courses to race on:

  • Big Sur
  • Pebble Beach Drive
  • Redwood Approach
  • Pacific Way
  • Bixby Pass
  • Cabrillo Highway

  • Route d’Azur
  • Saint-Laurent
  • La Turbie
  • Route de Corniche
  • Leopolda
  • Villefranche-Sur-Mer

  • Peak Road descent
  • Kowloon Climb
  • Magazine Gap
  • Pok Fu Lam
  • Wan Chai Gap
  • Ap Lei Chau

  • Mizu Mountain
  • Tenshi Way
  • Shinto Shrine
  • Torii Rush
  • Sakura Pass
  • Tatsu Valley

The Sprint Pack also comes with a new game mode with the same mode. The Sprint Mode is a point to point race where cars are released at specific intervals, and the car with the fastest time is the winner. If you are fast enough, you can catch up to the next car. However, if you’re lagging, you may get caught by another competitor! Sprint mode will also be able to be taken online, so you can compete with your friends. Note that this new game mode will only work on point to point courses.

All of the racing oriented disciplines are showcased in the 9 championships added in the Sprint Pack.  However, Demolition Derby and C1/C2 Drift will not be able to be driven on the sprint courses, due to the nature of the racing. You can access the new championships via the “Extra Championships” section in the main menu.

If you are a prize hunter, you’re in luck. This new pack also will include four new achievements/trophies for you to unlock. The achievements are fairly straightforward, and can be seen on the Codemaster’s Blog, but I won’t spoil them for the people who prefer to be surprised.

The Sprint Pack is available now to all platforms, and is also included in the Season Pass. Are you going to give the Sprint Pack a spin? Let us know in the comments!
