Codemasters Announce the 2006 Renault R26 Coming to F1 2017

Codemasters have announced the 2006 Renault R26 will be included in the up coming F1 2017 game. This is a great addition to an already impressive line up of classic F1 cars we can expect. We already have Redbull Racing, Ferrari, Williams and now Renault.

The days are counting down for release of F1 2017, with around 50 days at the time of this blog.

The 2006 Renault R26 had drivers Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella. During the 2006 season this car managed 8 wins, 7 pole positions and 5 fastest laps proving this team was able to compete at the top of the field.

Fernando Alonso notched up his 2nd World Drivers Championship with Renault and the team also won their 2nd Constructors World Championship. This car won more races in 2006 than any other car in the rest of the field.

So far this is what we know regarding classic content:

  • 2006 Renault R26
  • 1992 Williams FW14B
  • 1995 Ferrari 412 T2
  • 1996 Williams FW18

  • 2004 Ferrari F2004
  • 2007 Ferrari F2007
