Thrustmaster – Long-Awaited TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod Released

Fans have been bugging Thrustmaster for quite a while now as to when the French sim gear manufacturer would finally release a handbrake. Well, the time has come and as a result of the Thrustmaster-Sparco partnership formed last year, Thrustmaster has released the TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod for PC!

Sounds promising! What can it do?

Well, it’s a progressive handbrake, it will do what you expect it to do. However, stand-outs are the build quality and the two modes of operation, more on that in a second.

According to Thrustmaster 90 percent of the handbrake is crafted from metal and it also makes use of “industrial flat coil springs with 8.8 pounds/4 kg of resistance”. Of course, the handbrake was built with longevity in mind, which is reflected in the use of the H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology, which is also used in some of Thrustmaster’s wheels, and promises extreme durability for the core technical components, which is achieved through a contactless magnetic sensor.

Apart from using it as a handbrake, Thrustmaster’s latest addition to the ever-so-growing ecosystem and the family of Thrustmaster-Sparco products can also be used as a sequential shifter!

The handle is height-adjustable and can also be rotated to suit various styles of racing. Mounting points for all kinds of sim rigs are also included. If you want to mount in a desk for example, you will have to purchase the corresponding clamp from Thrustmaster separately though.

The TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod is only PC-compatible and is available now at a price of 249,99€ (taxes included), £239.99 (taxes included), $269.99 (taxes included), or similar in your local currency. On the other side, the PC-only compatibility also means that you are not limited to using it with Thrustmaster wheel!
