Sector3Studios has announced the addition of Ring Knutstorp to the already impressive lineup of Scandinavian tracks available in RaceRoom. Along with this announcement Sector3Studios included some lovely screenshots for us to enjoy until the official release.
Ring Knutstorp is a 2.079 km (1.292 mi) track located in Kagerod, Sweden. Built in 1963 and extended to its current length in 1970, Ring Knutstorp was a former host to the Formula Three European Cup and currently hosts the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship (STCC). Having a tight and winding configuration with regular elevation change created by the rolling Swedish Landscape this track is sure to demand every bit of car control and skill to master. A definite “fan favorite” within the sim racing community, Ring Knutstorp will likely become a popular track of choice for online competition within RaceRoom.
Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that the addition of Ring Knutstorp means only two tracks remain before RaceRoom offers every track in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. Five of the seven STCC tracks will be available within RaceRoom with only Allastaro and Solvalla remaining. Could this mean a full STCC series is coming to RaceRoom?
