It’s happening!!! After a delay…or two, Assetto Corsa has now ‘gone gold’. Gone gold means that the final master copy of the game is complete and production on the disks and the packaging is under way.
So the delays are done. Assetto Corsa will be out on August 26th in Europe and 30th in North America on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In related Assetto Corsa news, Porsche DLC continues to be teased. This time it’s pics of the new 2017 Porsche Panamera, 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 30 RSR and the Porsche 917/30, which may or may not be another example of a community created mod becoming officially licensed content…
And speaking of DLC, the final car list for the console versions of Assetto Corsa is still anyone’s guess. Developer Kunos Simulazioni have noted in the past that the console versions will get some of the PC DLC to make up the price gap between the two. But will ALL the current PC DLC be included in the console versions at launch?
Doesn’t look like it.
We already know that the console pre-order Prestige Pack, which is made up of 9 cars, includes 7 cars that are already in the PC version of Assetto Corsa natively or via DLC.
We also know that PC DLC cars, such as the Corvette C7R, are in the console version because we drove that car at E3.
Soooo….yea. Assetto Corsa console car list? Who knows! But we’ll find out first hand soon enough…
